Construction of Railway Signaling System: Maja - Rangkasbitung Project Background

Project Background

We are excited to announce the remodeling of a state-of-the-art railway signaling system between Maja and Rangkasbitung. This transformative project is designed to elevate the safety, efficiency, and reliability of rail operations across this crucial corridor. The scope of the construction includes the upgrade of signaling systems at three key stations: Rangkasbitung, Citeras, and Maja. By modernizing these systems, we aim to ensure smoother and more dependable railway services throughout the region.

Project Completion

The remodeling project includes replacing the existing VPI interlocking with the advanced iVPI system (an Alstom product) and doubling the track between the stations. Elsicom is responsible for the design, supply, and testing/commissioning of the new signaling system. This project, completed in 2018, was a collaborative effort with PT. Pindad Global Sources and Trading, enhancing the overall efficiency and reliability of the rail network.
